Spark plugs question

I replaced my plugs recently, all 16 for us V8 guys. I noticed that the inside of one of the LAST ignition cable connectors was a little corroded. I cleaned it out with a brass bore brush (.270 cal) I had laying around and finished the installation. But, it made me wonder what happens if one of the two plugs misfires. Will I get a misfire code? Does the ecu even detect a misfire or weak spark?

Does anyone know?

(BTW, I decided it may be prudent just to replace all the wires on a 15 year old car. The best price I found for Beru OEM wires was RockAuto.)
