Trunk Not Opening

While attempting to open my convertible top in order to fix the leaking front lock hydraulic cylinder, the trunk lid started the opening sequence then stopped and would not move any direction. I had another large hydraulic drip from the front interior side of the top cover, so it appears I have must have lost all hydraulic fluid. I managed to get the trunk lid almost closed, but not completely. Now the trunk lid will not open in order to refill the hydraulic fluid reservoir. I assume it is the S124 trunk closed limit switch which prevents to lock from working. Is there anyway to defeat this switch from any other location, or any other way to get the rear latch to open?

The trunk lid can be opened irregardless of whether the tubular frame is locked in position, though possibly you will need to use the mechanical key as explained in the owner's manual.

That did the trick. The trunk is open. Thanks
