Windshield Washer Reservoir Hose - Purpose?
New to the R230 platform and couldn't find much in my search. I opened the cap for the first time and found a small-diameter rubber hose with one end secured in a notch inside the reservoir and the other end loose/coiled.
My initial thought is that is some kind of overflow protection but I can't seem to get the full length of the hose into the reservoir as it bottoms out.
Can anyone educate me on what this hose in reservoir is for and if I need it?

It's a vent hose so that it "burps" out air as you fill the reservoir. It's needed since the filler tube is long and narrow. Without it, you'd have to pour a very small stream of fluid to prevent it from backing up in the neck and overflowing.
