Just purchased a 2004 SL 600 V12. I would appreciate any input on the pros and cons of this automobile. Any history of trouble areas.

 

Welcome to the forum! Please take a moment to visit the User Control Panel and update your profile to include your car model and year, and your location (at least country). The ABC system will probably need some work. SBC may cause issues, but it's now covered under a 25-year, unlimited mileage warranty. The coils packs on the V12 are expensive to replace because all size (per bank) are in one unit.

 

The only thing different from other SLs of this year are coil packs and ignition power supply. The rest is pretty much the same - mostly SBC and ABC.
