SL/R230: Coolant sensor going off

Coolant sensor going off
After the dealer replaced the passenger SAM, the coolant sensor on my dash is going off along with the lower wiper fluid. The dealer told me it was the wiper sensor causing the problem, but I just replaced it. So that leaves the coolant sensor, or an open circuit somewhere. Can anyone advise where the coolant sensor is located? Hopefully it's not in the reservoir. Is there an easy way to test if it's bad?

I found the coolant sensor, it's right in front of the SBC which is being replaced on Monday. To get to it, you need to either remove the recovery tank or the SBC. I'm almost certain I have a bad coolant sensor, because I can wiggle it and there is an excessive amount of play almost as if it's barely connected. If I had to guess I would say the sensor broke off and fell into the reservoir. I will just have MB swap it out on Monday that should fix it.
