crazy electrical problems on sl 55

first the tensioner puller went bad . I replaced a couple pulleys and the belts . GREAT. DROVE THE CAR THEN IT ALMOST OVERHEATED NEVER DID THAT BEFORE. OK that seam to correct itself. but now the red battery light comes on randomly. one question i have is the dashboard volt read out states its producing 13 volts is that normal or not enough and second question could the system through driving it work itself out

I suspect the belt is slipping. Maybe it's a bad belt or pulley. How's the tension on the belt? When you remove the belt, do the tensioner and idler pulleys rotate freely?

13V is low - normal is about 14V.

Voltage can fluctuate base don demand. For example, revving the engine require more power for the coils, so voltage will drop slightly.
