SL/R230: Plastic top flap

Plastic top flap
Have a 2004 SL 55 when the tops is down there is a small plastic flap on both sides of the plastic cover that opens up because of the roof arms that need to extend. It has three u shaped attach points and a small spring that gets the flap to return to the closed position. The u shaped brackets are warren out and the spring has nothing to attach itself to. Has anyone replaced this part and if so how much did it cost? If so was it difficult to replace or do you have to replace the whole part it is attached to?

The hinges on these parts braking is fairly common.
The entire section needs to be replaced and fabric covering applied (costly)
Someone in Texas (I believe) is making a 3d printing of the new part (again without fabric covering)
When I bought my R230 the hinges on both these parts were broken.
as an experiment, I attached the parts with monofilament fishing line where the hinges use to be.
Working just fine.
