Hi …… I'm an 08' SL350 R230 newbie trying to work out how to connect my iPhone to play downloaded Spotify music. On checking the centre console I have the connector shown in the picture below and was wondering if anyone out there can give me some advice on how I hook things up either via a suitable cable that connects to this port, or via an aftermarket interface. The car also has Bluetooth and an SD card slot. Any advice would be most welcome...…. and sorry, new to the forum and may have posted this twice on an old string.
Look up the Moker Bluetooth adapter on Amazon, it comes with the cable that plugs into the outlet you have pictured. I have one and it works flawlessly to stream Amazon Music.

I don't believe the MMI was available prior to the NTG2.5 COMAND upgrade, which happened for MY2009 (i.e. April 2008 and later builds). If you do have the MMI interface with the 30-pin ipod cable, the Coolstream CaPro adapter works quite well. With an Apple product connected, you get full artist/title info. With an Android, it still works and can skip tracks, but no text is displayed.
