The only wipers that looks good, have a low profile to use on SL, R230
I bought a set of new Mercedes wipers for my SL and when i looked at the wipers they had a W211 part number since Mercedes do not deliver the R230 ones anymore here in northern Europe
I looked at set of wipers from Bosch but they where so tall and had holes for the fasteners on both sides.
I did a search and found Bosch AeroTwin part number: A 948 S that have a low profile and also only have the hole for the fastener on on side of the wipers
Note that there is quite a lot of different type of Bosch wipers for the Mercedes SL, R230
The original ones looks like the ones on the picture below and i really do not like them This is how the original Mercedes W211 wipers look like with a tall "fastener"

The Bosch Aerotwin blades are what I put on my SL550 when I first bought it. I've been quite happy with them, although they do chatter a little along the bottom ends. They do look like they belong on the car. And they don't last as long as other wiper blades I've used. A little over 6 months, and I need to replace them.
