Slow Clock?
I know this is a 1st world problem, but my digital clock runs slow, each week it gets about 4-5 mins slow, I can easily correct this on the service menu, but I shouldn't have to should I?
Anyone else have this?
Thanks
Alex

Oh, I was just going by his profile.
I know the clock is tied to the COMAND module which sets the time from the GPS signals. I know there is a bug in the older COMAND systems that causes clock and date issues due to the way the GPS signal tracks the date. Instead of it sending the actual date, it sends a "week sequence number", which rolsl over ever 1,024 weeks. The bug in the COMAND software misinterprets the date based. For COMAND systems that display the date, ti will be wrong. For those that don;t it can just give the wrong time. I don't believe there is a fix except to have the instrument cluster coded for "does nto have COMAND" and then you can set the clock manually. But then you lose the navigation display aids in the cluster.

Bump, I’m also having this issue.
My car is a 2005 and Command has been replaced with an aftermarket headunit.
I am able to set the time in the cluster menu, but it’s losing around one second per hour, which adds up to around 4-5 minutes after a week and a half.
Does anyone have schematic that shows where the actual device that keeps time is located? I’m guessing it’s not in the clock display itself, but embedded in the gage cluster circuit board?

I just use the comand unit, go into Serv (Service) then 'time and date' you can type in the minutes there.. I have to set it fast by 5 mins each week,
