I found details of a Technical CDROM for a R230 on the following website :

Has anyone got this CD ? It looks rather good from the demo.

Yes, I have them for both my 129 and 230. They're a million miles from a full service manual but have a reasonable amount of information. They show videos of a few procedures, like removing the dash of a 230 or replacing the soft top of a 129, just in case you're bored on a Sunday afternoon but really there's not much more to keep you amused for an hour or so.

No, it's not nearly as detailed as that. As I said, you can read the whole thing in less than an hour. It's really designed as a training aid to wannabee Mercedes technicians who can just about hold a spanner (wrench) from the right end.
