Rise the trunk automatically when it is opened

Hello Friends.
Regarding SL R230 is there a way to rise automatically the trunk when the key´s button or the button in the trunk is pressed?

NO LONGER ACTIVE

Only if you have the automatic trunk opener option. I uses additional hydraulic struts and the vario roof hydraulic to raise and lower the lid.

If it helps, on my '06 CL500 the trunk lid raised itself without the automatic opener option. The struts had some sort of spring IIRC.

My '05 SL500 doesn't have the auto trunk opener or a spring so the trunk lid doesn't rise.

I think there is a way to install this function by myself (that is to say, out of Mercedes dealer).
I hope someone who did this task can help me.

Anything is possible, but it's likely to be very costly. Unless someone has already done this and documented it, it would take some time just to go through the parts list to identify what you need to buy.
