Malfunction of secondary air injection (function chain)(P0410)

Folks,

My 2004 SL600 with 60k miles had the "Check Engine" come on.
Using my iCarsoft code reader, I retrieved the following
"Malfunction of secondary air injection (function chain)(P0410)"

I have since cleared the code, and CE light is off and has not come back on for about one week now.

In the mean time I've research the p0410 issue and it appears to be fairly common and a easy fix.

I located the fuse box that holds the 40 amp fuse and secondary air pump relay as well.
It is in the fuse box next to the engine bay battery.

I intend on checking the Secondary air pump by disconnecting it and put 12 volts to see if it works and sounds "normal" and probably replace the relay as well.

Also may purchase a used secondary air pump and either replace the entire pump or just the electric motor, as it seems very easy to disassemble and replace the electric motor. And will only do this if the pump sounds bad or is not functional.

So here is my problem, I have no idea where the secondary air pump is located on the SL600
Is it in the passenger side wheel well or drivers side wheel well?
And if it is in either of those locations how do I get to it? Is it as simple as removing the wheel and then the inner wheel well cover?

Hallo,

there is a high chance that only a vacuum line for the injector is broken. Look at the tubes above the valve cover gasket at the passenger side.

Thanks to @chassis
I was able to locate the airpump.
It is located in the engine bay, on the front passenger side under the coil pack and air duct.
With the size of the V12, it is nearly impossible to see as the engine bay is so damn crowded...
