SL/R230: Upgrading from 04 SL500 to 06 SL55 - What do I Need to Know?

Upgrading from 04 SL500 to 06 SL55 - What do I Need to Know?
Hello friends :-) I have owned a wonderful 04 SL500 for a couple of years now, and still feel giddy when I get in the front seat (currently has 100k miles)...
That being said, I have an opportunity to own a 06 SL55 in the same color combo and slightly higher mileage (120k).
What should I know? How do I know if the engine is in the "balance shaft problem range?"

Engine and 5 speed trans is bulletproof. You will likely need to change a supercharger pulley bearing, and the charger fluid (200cc) changed, and possibly an intercooler pump.
Rear tires wear extremely fast because of your right foot, trans electrical connector may be leaking fluid (easy fix), engine and trans mounts last about 50K miles...slightly less than the SL500.
Other than that, it is basically the same car, except for massive POWER! (spoken in British accent Jeremy Clarkson voice)
