2003 SL500
Confirmation in choice
You know it was an overcast day this morning when I climbed outta bed - gloomy but beautiful and cool
I went down stairs and got dressed and ready for work with the thought of what to drive in this morning
Thinking do I drive the new BMW G30 - M' sport 5 Series, my supercharged 968 Convertible Porsche, the W205 Mercedes C250 Sport, or my R230 - SL500
After just fixing my leaky hood lock hydraulics I decided to drive in the SL500 with the roof down as it was a beautiful morning at 28 degrees C
I gotta say I absolutely love this car - its the oldest "modern" car I have in my fleet of 12 cars in total and I just "cruised" in sitting on the speed limits all the way and just ignoring all the other morons fighting their way through the traffic and weaving in and out of lanes to gain that one spot. I arrived 30 kilometres later and realised how much I really love this car and the "drive" not to mention the looks of it with the top down in particular.
Set me up for a great day.

Former R230, W220 and W221 owner
The R230 has a beautiful modern design that gets better with age. I have the 2003 and many many people can't believe the car is 17 years old- they think its a modern vehicle made in the last 5 years
