I have modified my ashtray it now has a (one) USB (extension) connecting for my Mr 12 Volt unit that has been installed at the previous CD changer location in addition there is combination digital volt meter with (2) aux-phone charge ports.
I also have completed the magnetic mounts for a portable DVR and mobile phone. The DVR has a 100GB HD that can play its music content (complete music library travels with me when driving) through the aux-port of the Mr 12 unit back to the original FO sound system. I can connect the DVR to my home PC and structure file folders any way I want them for eaxmple > Songs A-Z - Artist A-Z - Genre A-Z - Favorites etc.
The flash drives will play folders 1-5 with 6 songs per folder I use them to quickly load a new song I like which I not heard before before uploading them to the DVR - The USB titles show on the MB command screen.
All functions of the original system work > steering wheel buttons - music mute when the moblie phone is in use etc.
