Hi All,
I know this has been done to death on the forum but for some reason I can't find information on how many spark plugs are needed for a 2009 SL550. I read on multiple threads that you need 16 spark plugs for a V8 but the engine, if I am not mistaken, is the M273. I read that the M272 replaced the twin spark plugs to a single one and videos I've seen of the M273 seem to only require 8 plugs.

Can someone please clarify?

My mechanic quoted me $300 for the job so I'm considering doing it myself if it's only 8 plugs.

The 2009 SL550 has eight spark plugs. The previous SL500; ending in 2006, had 16.
