had the secondary cats and resonators taken out with stock amg mufflers and car sounded ok. It was a little raspy and WOT, and just wasn’t “ mean”enough. I got a good deal on some eisenmann race mufflers and put them on...car was obnoxiously loud and had some drone at cruising speeds. Ended up getting a custom system from primary cats back to incorporate the stock resonators and an x pipe. Car sounds much better and drone is almost completely gone, I am going to dynamat the trunk and the rear seat area soon to help with it. Here are the pictures:
yep, bad idea remove resonators on the 55 engine, noice level is hopless. Drone very bad . Frend of me has removed them, i cant hear my car at all when side by side racing.

Droning is a nightmare
I run straight pipes on V12 Biturbo , no cats and custom mufflers, really don't like the droning even with the trunk insulated inside outside

do you have photos of the insulated trunk you did? I’m planning on doing the trunk and rear as much as I can
