SL/R230: seat
seat
sl500 r230 2006 on the seat the top button that make the seat go front and back the seat will go front but not back not door button the one on top of seat. do not know how to fix any help would be good t/k you
I’m not sure how feasible it is as I’ve never done it, but if the switch prises out from the seat, swap it over with the switch on the other seat. If the fault moves to the other seat, then it must be a faulty switch.
If the fault stays with the original seat then the switch must be good.
If the original seat with the problem can be powered back using the door card switches then the motors are all good, so my instinct based on what you’ve said, would be that it’s a switch problem,

I've never done it so wouldn't like to say but I'm sure someone else will be around to give more detail. I would have thought though, that it must be some sort of simple clip.
On another note though I had a few minutes spare time and found this, which if it works could be an easy solution....

NOW I feel dumb.
The thread with the solution tells you to ‘manually move the seat’. Does that mean using the control in the door, or does it mean forcing the seat for/backward along its rails with protein force?
