I recently purchased an SL 500 and mistakenly had a friend attempt to pick it up. The first time I attempted to pick the SL up it started up after I had jumped it but I wasn't able to bring it back. The next time I had a friend attempt to bring it back. He told me he had tried to jump it from the rear auxiliary battery in the trunk. He then told me he saw a puff of smoke come from the area around the starter battery. As of now the car doesn't start. Does anyone have any ideas of what would have gone wrong?

I have replaced the starter battery.

I dont own a SL500 but I would start here for its location

It will more than likely be a main fuse in the rear Sam unit location

Or does it have a fuse on the positive terminal of the battery?

No I do not think it does, but there is a good chance it is the starter fuse. Thank you very much for helping out
