C249C Trouble code

I had my 03 R230 give the visit workshop for brake system alert. I put my Icarsoft on it and received a C249C code - Test cable stop lamp to N10/11 passenger side SAM control Module for Voltage.
Any help on how to do this is appreciated

Hi, I got this message on my cluster "Brake Service-Visit Workshop" on my 2003 SL500 with 90k km, so the extracted code by AUTEL is C249C , SBC pump been replaced last April 2024 by Mercedes Montreal, everything works fin, tail light, third brake light NEW, New brake switch, even new brake pads and disks and sensors, tried to look for this code C249C -> "Check the wire Stop lamp to N10/11 (Passenger side SAM (Signal Acquisition and Actuation Module)) for Voltage.
Does it mean that the passenger side fuse box need to be replaced!!! I checked all fuses and everything looks good, where is problem! Thank you

I Googled "Mercedes code c249c" and see similar solutions. The AI summary is:

Mercedes code C249C is a fault code related to the SBC (SBC stands for Servobremse or Brake Assist System) and typically indicates an issue with the brake pedal switch. The most common cause is worn contacts in the stop lamp switch, which can cause a delay in switching between the two sets of contacts. Replacing the brake pedal switch is often the recommended solution.

I did all the necessary check and it seems that the problem is coming from the passenger side SAM (Fuse Box)

SBC stands for Sensotronic Brake Control.

There's a known issue with water ingress into the SAMs - especially the RHS one.

Pull the SAM and look for any corrosion in there. While you're at it, check your two drain tubes under the hood. They clog up and water gets into the module.
