WIS says you are supposed to vacuum fill the cooling system.

I don’t own an air compressor, so I don’t have a good way of doing this.

Is it ok to just fill it and go through a normal self-bleed (warm it up with the heat on and the reservoir cap open)?

No need to vacuum fill, just add coolant to the expansion tank and leave the cap off, run the engine with heat on full blast, rev car to 3000rpms and hold steady for a 10-15 seconds. Close up the expansion tank and drive around, keep eye on the temp gauge and let it sit to cool. Any bubbles will work its way out after a few heat cycles, and you just add more coolant as needed.
