Storing the car for a few months

Hi All
New Here Just purchased a 2004 Sl500 with 60000 miles. I am asking since I will not use the car for 4 months is it better to have the top down or up in the garage. It is hot in Florida and the garage gets in the 90s
thanks for your sage advice
Gene

Gas it up, fill extra air into your tires, and hook it up on two battery tenders. I would close the top and windows.

Yes close everything. I use 1 tender on the trunk battery. I put stabil fuel storage fluid in a full tank. Mine sits for 5 to 6 months and starts and runs like new.

I will also be leaving the car for a few months but don't have an outlet for tenders. I am planing on just disconnecting both batteries, is that ok?

I believe is you disconnect batteries on this car you lose settings and codes. A Mechanic told me you have to keep power on the car with another source even when changing the batteries.

Removing/disconnecting thee batteries is OK, given you disconnect in proper order, starting with trunk then engine and reversing on start-up front first trunks second. I believe you disconnect ground first on the batteries but you should search the forum on this procedure. Also know that on start-up, you will need to re-set window, radio stations, etc. Also procedures for this in this forum..
