I have a preference for the Foxwell mentioned in my signature, since it can perform "actuations"; i.e., it can turn components on/off for testing. But for someone who is solely interested in reading/erasing codes and maybe looking at sensor values, for $100 the MB-II is a terrific value. As something of a bonus, if is is like my i980, it also does OBD-II diagnostics which are universal to all cars manufactured since MY1996.
