Rear Toe Adjustment

A few questions. One where is the location of the rear toe adjustment. Second if one needed to replace a part or parts to achieve correct toe what would they be. Third here is my latest alignment results which did not get corrected due to a shop not having the correct tool and the need to drop the exhaust ( don't ask me ) So the present numbers are left camber -1.6 toe .34 right camber -1.3 toe -0.06 As usual your comments and help are appreciated Gene
This is a strutmaster car

The rear toe adjustment is located under the exhaust pipes behind the differential.
The easiest way to adjust these is to remove the mufflers. It's only one clamp and a rubber donut to slide off. Attempting to wedge the exhaust down and mess around is asking for trouble.
Google the E55 rear toe adjustment and you will find the same parts that the SL has. No parts required for toe, only if you need to adjust camber, then shell out some bucks.

I removed my mufflers, then found the bolt(s). Loosened the clamping bolt, and the adjuster arm went 'twang' and moved a fraction, and the toe was pretty close to spec.
Tightened it up, put the muffler back on, and it's at least in spec, but still needs an 'official' alignment. You can get things pretty close yourself with a couple strings and a level.
I bought adjustment arms for camber and dialed my rear back to -0.5, which helps wear, but makes handling a little twitchy and nervous.
I don't have pictures...you never think to take any while doing the work :/

THANK YOU that explains why the guy could not adjust the toe he didn;t want to take the mufflers down and said he needed a special tool to not have to do it. thanks for the information.
