Hi everyone, I recently bought an 03 sl55 half a year back at 55k miles now at 60k. Been a lurker but never a poster. I'm just trying to get established in here. I would love to make some new friends. Currently in the Bay Area specifically San Jose. Car is currently down, suspecting batteries, EIS system, or SAM. Hopefully its the batteries. I will put the battery back soon but I sprained my lower back. I will update and good luck to me.

Stunner! Get well soon, I've been there (spinal trouble) several times and eventually you should be okay. If someone could hook up the rear battery to an intelligent battery tender that would be a good idea. If both batteries are flat, perhaps disconnect both (rear first) and charge. No jumpstarting via the rear battery under any circumstance.
