I recently purchased an abused 2004 SL500. I am slowly doing all the neglected maintenance and fixing issues. Today’s issue is the vacuum/pressure lines to the multi contour seats. I found the broken line at the bend point from under the seat to the seat and have repaired it. I have the seat out and have tested the input line to the seat and it holds vacuum. My issue is I see a vacuum connector, just under the multi contour switch plate at the front of the seat, that does not connect to anything. See pic. Just to the right of the yellow plug. What does this connect to? What ever it is does not hold vacuum. I done really want to put the seat back in until I know where it goes to. I did not notice this fitting on the drivers side seat when I had it out fixing the same broken line. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
That doesn’t connect to anything on my car either. I always guessed it was the relief valve for to expel air when you deflate the various parts of the seat.
