Interior light mounted in underside of interior mirror not turning off
Hi everyone
The very small light mounted in the underside of the interior mirror, that points straight down and gently illuminates the gear lever area, is not shutting off.
This is not the dome light or the two reading lamps, which are all working correctly. The car has been on a trickle charger for months now when not being driven with no battery issues, sustaining over 13V but and all of a sudden I’m having low battery issues. The voltage is dropping down to 10V even with the trickle charger connected.
Is the car maybe staying “awake” when it should be “sleep” for systems? I’m not sure where to start, with this one.

I know it's not the proper thing to do, but if it was me, since it's not the reading lights, maybe that light is non-essential, and I'd consider accessing the light bulb and removing it. Wonder if that would then trigger a Bulb Out message though. If it doesn't, I'd say bye Bye light bulb! Happy battery is definitely essential.

Thats exactly what I’m concerned about, I feel it’s a symptom of the car not fully sleeping but was hoping to gain from anyone else’s experiences. No fault codes being generated.
I have taken the car for a run today and the problem seems to have stopped. Light now goes out as expected and battery back to holding 13v on the trickle charger. Hopefully it was a glitch, but we will see.
