Hi all,
I am replacing my COMMAND unit with a new 7'' digital radio. I’ve read a lot of posts on the forums but I have some questions as most posts are for pre-2009 models, I have the 2009 SL550.

Questions:
1. Steering wheel control ASWC-1 ( ). Some installers I spoke to say that it works, some other say it doesn't for a 2009. Can someone confirm it works?
2. Apparently I need some sort of harness as the AVIN MOST (link) doesn't have all the necessary connections. Do you know what I need?

I went through this with my SL550 about a year ago. Couldn't find the necessary parts to do it. I think the parts that are out there only go up to 2008. What I only cared about was installing a backup camera so I ended up doing that with the stock command.
I do have a Kenwood in my 2007 SL65 that works flawless.

 

That's the crazy thing, I can also only find info up to 2008, 2009 and onwards there is nothing I could find on the forums and the installers seem to be contradicting each other.
I was hoping that forum members would have some insight.

 

The 09 and up have a different Comand unit.
