SL/R230: SRS message

Mercedes Benz SL500 R230
SRS message
The SRS message is permanently lit in red on the main instrument of the dashboard on the right side. I found out it was the passenger seat weight sensor. How can I disable or adjust this? Thank you.

Almost always a wiring issue. There was a recall for a bad connector. Most were replaced, but new connectors were not always spliced in properly. It can also hang down and get damaged by seat movement.
