hi guys

as you know i just picked up my car July 04, april 04 build date. when i got the car i ask about the recall which was around that time. well the sales person said no worries for mine.

well just got a call, wanted my car in for 1/2 hour to put in new software for SBC. apparently he said he could not wait to mail me the letter !!!

Will let you know tomorrow, should I be worried !!!

Could have been worse Monty! Also got mine July but would have been shipped later so maybe caught the SBC fault in time. No phonecalls so far anyway!

I got my SL on April 10, 2004. I asked the dealer about the recall and still no word on my car.

I wonder if the recall does not apply to the SL500s in the US. I got my car in April and dealer said their was no recall on the SBC for my car last Friday.

Has anyone got a recall notice in the US?

No, no notice here (2003 SL500). I rcently took mine in for the first service (11K miles/12months) and asked about it, but the dealer said no information.
