Battery replacement
Hello community. This information is probably on thr forum somewhere, but I couldn't seem to find it. But I need to drop off my battery to be tested and then pick it up later in the day. So has anyone ever experienced computer system issues after leaving the car is off power for an extended period of time? Should I disconnect the accessory batter as well? I've heard that the ECU can loose it's memory unless you connect a charging device to the ODB port. Not sure if that's true or not, so wanted to put it out there. But anyway, any assistance or information anyone has will be greatly appreciated. This forum has proven extremely valuable, and is my go to over any dealership!
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I unplug my consumer battery and starter battery and bring it inside the house during winter, in the spring, it starts right up and everything is still there like my radio stations and such. I have a 2009 SL600, not sure about other years/models

“Should I disconnect the accessory batter as well?”
YES. Disconnect the rear one before you disconnect the front one. And connect front first and rear thereafter. This was chiseled in the R230/231 constitution with good reason.
