Trunk Handle Stuck "Depressed"
Hey All-
So I need to replace the aux battery in my 2007 sl550, which is located in the trunk. I know I need to use the key to manually open the trunk since the battery is dead, however the handle that one would use to open it once the key has been turned is stuck as if it is pressed down. Anyone have any solutions as to how get it unstuck?
Thanks in advance!

Recently experienced the same. Caused by the key not fully turned. It only engages the handle right at the end of the turn. Spray the lock with WD40 keep turning back and forth and it should eventually work

If the battery isn't too far gone, you should be able to charge it enough to get your voltage up to the point that the trunk will unlock normally. Just let the car idle for 15-30 minutes and see if the 'consumers offline' message goes away.

I think this is not quite relevant mate? the locks are pneumatic not electric, a low consumer battery will still allow the trunk to open as air is stored, unless you have a leak !
