DAS/Xentry update
Hello all,
I have been reading a lot of posts regarding which diagnosis package is better and my head hurts.
I have been using a clone C3 w/IBM T30 for over 10 years and never had a problem. However it is time to upgrade, my garage welcomed a ‘20 GLB that will need help from falling into the clutches of the dealership.
I want to reuse the C3 MUX, it’s working, no argument there. I would like to avoid having to use a virtual machine at all costs.
Therefore I need a computer/laptop with a native RS232 port. Does it have to be Panasonic Toughpad CF-D1 MK2 or any other with Windows 7 or 10/64 will do?
My DAS with developer allowed me to change version coding, country coding, etc. What are these news apps Vediamo, Monaco doing that DAS is not able to do?
I greatly appreciate any info that will come my way.

Thank you Plutoe. So you are saying that I should retire the C3, I need a C4 anyway for anything downstream of 2014. Then I just need a good laptop without the RS232.I get to keep only the cables. I’ve never done any offline programming. All I did was changing CGW to ROW along with gadgets such as brake hold, disabling “gurtwarnung” etc. What is XDOS?
