ABC after battery disconnect
I had both batteries disconnected to do some work, couple of hours
Totally unconnected...
Afterwards the gear change was clunky for 5 to 10 miles
The ABC now rides noticably higher on high. same on low.
I don't get it - Why?? Cars dont work like that anymore, all the settings are backed up. Battery disconnection should do nothing?

The only thing I can think of is ( as possibility) the car was lowered below the factory settings using SDS, and after you disconnected both batteries, the system defaulted to factory settings. Unless you're talking way higher, which is a different issue.
You can get a good indy to check the height sensors, but all 4 to go bad same time still unlikely, but not impossible. Maybe they just need to be recalibrated.
