SL/R230: Warm aircon

Had my aircon charged and pressure checked,
It blows cooler but not real cold and the aircon light flashes 3 times.
Any ideas?
Will an iCar MB diagnostic scanner check the aircon? or what scanner do I need to buy (private owner use).

I think that the flashing light is for low refrigerant and needs to be reset for the system to resume working. Not an expert on the iCar MB, but I think it should be able to clear AC codes and diagnose the system.

Yes that scanner ‘does’ the hvac. I presume it should be able to clear historic faults. Sorry, never had this fault so can’t rely on my own experience.

I can confirm that the iCarsoft MBii can read and erase HVAC faults. The code must be erased anytime the system becomes empty of refrigerant in order to regain AC. If your system is producing anemic AC, it's a good idea to refill it sooner rather than later so you can avoid the need for a reset. Also, the refrigerant provides lubrication to the compressor pulley, so letting it run dry will result in a noisey squeak at the compressor pulley ( a tell-tell sign the system has run dry)
