Wow! What did we do wrong - ABC rebuild gone haywire!

Greetings and thanks for any help. Have had numerous SLs (500s, 600s) and have rebuilt ABC valve blocks before with great results. This one 2003 SL600 - we have ghosts! Rebuilt front valve block and here is the ghost: When we have running and in park - all is good. All struts go up/down, correctly with button. When we put in gear (reverse for example) and take foot off of brake to drive the passenger side works correctly - both front and rear stay correct. BUT the drivers side - front and rear go all the way down! I didn't know rebuilding front ABC valve block could have anything to do with the rear valve block or anything to do with brakes or gears! Did we squeeze a wire ? What are we missing? Any help would be really appreciated.
