I am helping my dad fix the clock on his 2003 SL500. There are two problems:
1) The only thing we can edit is the minutes. When following the instructions SVC > Settings > Date/Time, everything but the minutes is grayed out and we also have this symbol:
I can't find any information about this symbol online.
2) We were originally just trying to update the clock on the head unit. I've seen people online mention syncing the dash with the head unit but I've found no info on how to do this. We can't figure out how to update the head unit clock.

I am not an expert but if you have Command system. That symbol is a satellite you need to have the car outside for a while then you can set the clock. I had same problem when I changed my battery.
after about 15 min outside the clock set itself. I was also able to adjust it.
