Strange knocking noise in rear with top down
I’ve been driving with the top down almost every day this summer and I’ve noticed a strange knocking noise in the rear when I come to a stop. It continues for several seconds and sounds like something has come loose in the gas tank. With the car stopped and off, and with the top still down, I can open the trunk and rock the car and hear it. I’ve two things to try yet: check it with the top up and get under the car to see if anything is loose or hanging and bumping underneath.
One idea I will suggest is to check your storage compartments behind your seats. I found a flashlight in my passenger side that I put there..and forgot about that was free to roam around and make muffled noises. I was close to examination of gas tank baffles as the culprit. Dodged that one.
second idea is get the car scanned. Fault codes can give you some clues. These cars can monitor themselves and tell you what is going on.

Yes, it's probably your gas tank baffle. Happened to me a few months ago. I used 2 super super strong rare earth metal magnets to fix it.
The magnets I used were larger than this guys and I only used 2. It's held up pretty good.
