2004 SL55 and tired of changing secondary air injection pump and relay. Please help delete using the MB Star. Much appreciated.

You'll need a Dev mode SDS unit that's unlocked.


1. Select your car
2. Go to Control Units
3. Go to Drive
4. Go to MESFI 2.8
5. Go to Development Data
6. Go to Control Unit Adaptations
7. Go to Control Unit Adaptations(Variant Coding)
8. Go to Implizite Kodierung ME281 AMG C6-Stand



For Secondary Air Injection scroll down to 0178 and change Diagnose ein TO Diagnose aus

this will not only remove the check engine light, but it will also keep your "readiness monitors" OK

Thanks for the reply. Read some trend on the link about smog ready. will it pass smog in California?

 

Last year, yes .... next year ???

This has been turned off on the SL55 and SLK32 for years and has not been a problem going through California smog. But will it show up with the "anti tune" scrutiny of next year ... can't say
