Is this the lever that opens the trunk lid when using the manual handle?

When i try to open the trunk lid using the manual handle when the car stands parked and unlocked nothing happens.

If i use the remote or the switch on the door everything works as it is supposed to. I am, sure that there is no leak from the PSE pump

I have asked this before but not with these pictures showing the lever i am thinking of.
The lever is marked with a red arrow
If it is i have a feeling that the lever have popped off in one end on my car since i can not open the trunk lid with the manual handle

I guess this lever moves when you pull the handle to manually open the trunk lid? The lever is marked with a red arrow

That lever is the mechanical override that only functions when you pull the handle while the key is inserted and turned in the lock next to the handle.

The problem you are having is that for some reason your car doesn’t know that you’re pulling the trunk handle, so it’s not popping the trunk. I’d check if the wiring harness to the handle is damaged or disconnected.

Thanks a lot for letting me know siviktec

I was sure that the lever was for the handle.

But now that you told me it makes sense that the lever unlocks the car using the mechanical key to open the trunk lid

That works exact how it is supposed to on my car
And so does the switch on the drivers side door. The remote to open the trunk lid as well

But the manual handle does not open the trunk lid when the car stands unlocked

Well, i have to check the micro switches since that must be the most likely problem why the manual handle does not open the trunk lid

You must put the metal blade from the key in the lock, then turn it and hold it in the turned position. Then pull the manual release. If you just turn the key nothing will happen. If you pull the manual release without the key turned, nothing will happen.

You must have the key inserted and also turned.

wow thats an awesome photo ! ( ha I took it!)
When you insert the metal, key it turns a lever on the barrel that then engages the lock mechanism.
The handle works on microswitches and controls the pneumatics.
