SAM issues

I replaced my passenger side SAM. Now the car won't start. When I was reconnecting the battery the wrench touched the car, I thought that at have blown the started fuse. I checked them, they are good. Difficult getting to them. All the fuses checked out. Shouldn't the Sentry tell me exactly where the problem is? Any suggestions are appreciated. Has anyone had this issue, if so how did you resolve it?

Just as a side question - before replacing the SAM unit, did you find out if it is plug & play? Maybe it needs to be paired with the car first?

Plug and Play. I have checked all of the fuses, they are good. I don’t understand why the Zentry doesn’t identify the issue. Initially it indicated that the starter fuse was defective. After becoming a contortionist just to get to them, they were fine.

I apologize for the unclear question.

What I meant is besides it being connected dirrectly without any adjustments needed, do you need it to pair with other car's ECU / EIS / other modules? For example, when I had to replace my EIS( electronic ignition system) it had to be "married" to the car's vin (Don't know the exact procedure), because it would not work if I just swapped it and started the car.

The system scanned through all of the checks and originally indicated that each system was online and working. When I tried to start it after the system check, it wouldn’t start. The F52 fuse was indicated, it wasn’t the issue. I let the wrench hit my car and the battery and it sparked. I am going to take the replacement out and put the original back in. It was giving erroneous faults which is why I changed it. Maybe I messed up the replacement when I touched the car with my wrench.
