What is this?

I pressed my washer button to wash the headlights and I heard something hit the windshield, I found this.

I am guessing it came from the headlight sprayer?

It looks like the nozzle from the end of the washer arm. Just replaced mine (whole assembly),as they leaked, draining the reservoir turning light on. Not too bad a diy, dropped the bumper to remove/replace from behind.

I know this is the first and only time it has ever been used. I wonder if I can just snap it back in somehow without dropping the bumper?

I doubt it would work but doesn’t hurt to try. With age the plastic becomes brittle and breaks.

I agree that these never used devices should not break but the do. Terrible invention by MB engineering.

I have the WIS instructions to replace the washer arms if you elect t go that way and can post. Not as hard as it might sounds, just regular wrenching, no special tools.

The car has -8000 miles on it and is garage kept. The plastic looks and feels new. I’ll try and fix it.
Thanks!
