2003 SL350

Speaker Issues

Hi, I've recently bought a 2003 SL350 and I'm getting a lot of speaker distortion even at low volumes from both doors. It's bearable with the bass turned down to zero but sound quality is poor. I'm guessing this is a speaker issue, but wondering if it's an amp problem. Has anyone had the same problem and if so, what did they do to fix. Thanks.
