BATTERY LIGHT ON DASH
BOTH BATTERIES ARE GOOD. NEW BATTERY TO START THE CAR . BOTH BATTERIES GETTING A CHARGE WHEN ENGINE IS RUNNING . STILL THE RED LIGHT IS ON THE DASH ANY HELP THANKS

I had the same problem on my SL55. Mine turned out to be the Alternator. I think it was actually the regulator mounted on the alternator. I order a complete new one from FCPEuro. Problem solved.

I have the same problem, for months now.
Check if the relay (K57) right next to the BCM is warm when the car is sitting parked, engine off. Mine is constantly energized (closed) and this triggers the red battery warning light on the dashboard. Both batteries, the alternator voltage regulator, foot well fuse, and the relay are brand new.
For some reason - the relay is energized because the system goes into 'emergency' mode. I just ordered a new BCM. It better fix the problem.
