ABC Pump Pulley Vibration
Hello - 1st time poster but long time ABC suspension fan.
I recently purchased a 2003 SL 500 with 50,000 miles, and am going through the process of updating all of the fluids and seeing what should be replaced as I am now the happy 4th owner of the car.
So far, I have done engine oil, ABC hydraulic fluid, coolant & differential oil. My question stems from observing the pulley action on the tandem power steering pump. While watching the car at idle, it appears that the pulley has some front to back play while rotating. In the video I uploaded, I hope it was able to capture the vibration shown on the pulley. Could this possibly be a bent or deformed pulley or could it lead to larger issues on the tandem pump. I took the serpentine belt off to try and move the pulley by hand, but was not able to feel any play or looseness, and the pump spun what felt like normal by hand.
Have others seen this on their pump or have any other diagnostic tips I could do to see if it merits a repair?
