Keep getting a P2001 (P0400 generic) Malfunction of exhaust gas recirculation (function chain). Reset it several times but it keeps coming back. Found a damaged vacuum hose underneath the EGR valve and replaced it but the code keeps coming back.
Did a DAS test on the EGR valve where the valve opens/closes and the RPMs drop, like it's supposed to.
Trying to do the EGR diagnosis chain tests but not getting anywhere. I did the secondary air injection test, it completed but I get no results and the it still shows PATH NOT VERIFIED. Same thing for the "exhaust gas recirculation diagnosis" completes but no results and still says "path not verified"
Anyone know how to get any results with these tests? Or how they are supposed to be completed?
Surely the air injection pump will only run at cold temperatures. The image says your temp is 97 degC. The image suggests it needs to be below 45 degC (Green zone).
The other image shows status for "inertia fuel shut off" (pretty sure this is auto shutoff in the event of an accident) to be incorrect. May just be a bug, as engine is running, but worth a quick check in case it does have an issue.
Thanks for the reply. The pictures are with the engine shut off. Yes the values need to be in the green when starting the tests. On the first test, with the temp in the green, you tap the accelerator til it reaches 1700 rpm, then DAS says "test in progress", when it finishes, I get nothing no results and it still says path not verified. I did not notice if the "ACTUAL VALUE" changed from on/off as the computer was too far away. The second test, 2nd pic, I had to keep the rpm's between 1600 and 1700 for 7 minutes, the test completed and nothing, no results and still path not verified. I dunno, maybe I need to do the steps in order from top to bottom.
This is fixed, I replaced these 2 hoses. One of them is behind the sensor/switch blue arrow. No more codes.
They were like soft liquorice when pulling them off.
