ECU Swap

Hello everyone!

I'm looking to change the ECU in my R230, and was wondering if this new would be compatible. Old is A113 153 23 79 and new would be A113 153 30 79. According to EPC A113 153 30 79 should be compatible and it replaced A113 153 27 79.

The weirdest thing is, that EPC does not list A113 153 23 79 at all and that is in the car at the moment. Looking from DAS the ECU date is 09/01. I know someone has been tampering with the car, as there is physical modifications done to the ignition switch.

As expected, I would be changing the ECU with the ignition switch and shifter module.

If EPC gives you that number, you should be good. EPC only lists replacement parts. In some cases, especially immobilizer components, the OE P/N was never available as a replacement.
