O2 sensor connectivity (this is wierd).
Hello Forum,
I've been chasing a CEL/rough idle issue for many months now, and I believe I have it narrowed down to either a vacuum leak, or a faulty tire harness (or some combination of both). But has anyone ever seen anything like this? As we know, this is a keyed connection so there's no way to incorrectly plug it in. This is also a new o2 sensor, so I guess it could be faulty out of the box. But that seems unlikely. But if anyone has any ideas and/or has seen an error like this, just let me know. This on has me shaking my head.

Hmmm, I'm gonna have to switch them around and see if that makes a diff. Neither the packaging nor either of the sensors had any orientation designations, so I figured they'd be interchangeable. But I'll switch 'em out and see if I still get that message. And if so, I'm just gonna switch out the harness.

I think ours are four wire; they have a heating element inbuilt as well as the sensor itself. It maybe worthwhile measuring the resistance of the element to see if one is out of range and comparing that with the others.

You could check the voltage fluctuation, it should sit from about 01.V to 0.9V. I recently used my iCarsoft to see this live information albeit in a Citroen but the principles are the same.

Thanks for the info. I have an Autel scanner so I'll dig to the menus (and there are a ton of them) and confirm the voltages. I'm also removing and switching them around and will post if that resolves the 'sensors are incorrectly connected' issue.
