SL/R230: need to know
#2
This looks like you are disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery whenever you flip up that lever to “isolate the ground”. This is not what I am used to seeing for isolated grounds. I thought I was reading that r230 doesn’t like when battery is disconnected/goes dead.

You can easily and safely disconnect the rear battery on the 230. All you have to do upon reconnection is reset the windows by holding the switches up, and possibly the ESP, by turning the wheel from lock to lock.
In fact it's the one sure way to eliminate battery discharge if the car's not being used, and you don't want to connect a charger.
